Take good notes immediately after the interview. Write what you think went well and what you discussed. Use this information in your follow up letter or phone call.
When drafting a follow up letter make sure to include these points:
Thank the employer for the interview
Ask for clarification about anything you were unsure of from the interview
Offer to give references if you did not mention this previously
Decide if you should write or call the employer after the interview. This will demonstrate how committed and enthusiastic you are.
